We educate the children and youth of Bogotá, with ethical and Christian values to transform their future and that of their families. We guarantee their rights, preventing all forms of mistreatment, abuse and psychosocial risks. In this way, our beneficiaries conquer spaces of inclusion through education for life.
The project provides education for children and teenagers (3 to 18 years old) from mostly very poor areas in Bogotá. In collaboration with the Pedagogic University the youngsters and kids receive different classes including sports, languages and arts. The school day is from 6:10 until 11:30/12:15.
The foundation Campeones de Amor works with children and teenagers with special needs. Its objective is to improve the life quality of their life. Physical (football, swimming, basketball, etc.) and recreational activities (arts, handicraft etc.) are an excellent opportunity to improve the autonomy and independence of persons with special needs.
We work with children who have some tipe of dissease or special needs we offer them a suitable house for their needs, restore their violated rights and care for them. A multidisciplinary team administers this: nutritionist, nurses, pedagogic team, psychologist. We also have a a space for the care of the elderly and homeless peole which is a community dining room.
Fundación Gente Unida provides education to children, young people and adults and promotes key values and competencies necessary so that participants acquire the tools with which they can transform their lives and environment.
We are a non-profit institution that seeks to provide a comprehensive education to enlighten and transcend in the lives of young people who are suffering the consequences of displacement caused by the armed conflict in Colombia, or by domestic violence (lovelessness, violence, sexual harassment, among others)
We offer comprehensive care to girls and young women between the ages of 8 and 18 who are in vulnerable conditions and who live in a foster home because their families cannot support them due to economic difficulties or because of access to a school near their family residence.
Casa Mucura is a foundation created to support and accompany the local community of Nuquí (Colombian pacific coast). They co-create with a responsible community approach that starts from a close understanding of the territory and works through participatory methodologies and permaculture principles that include the vision of the community and lead to social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
The aim of Ñambi Waira’s project is to disseminate information about this area of the country, to make known the cultural customs of the Inga indigenous community as well as the afro community, and the beauty of nature that is not found anywhere else in the country. To be able to accomplish this, the project offers eco touristic activities as a dynamic way to teach about their cultures. They work with local people as well as tourists that visit the zone.
The ICYE Colombia's office is located in Bogota, the volunteers will work in several of the projects and will participate in the activities we do (camps, fairs, etc.) most of the work is administrative.
