Fundación YūtopiaLab is a non-profit organization focused on demonstrating a creative agrarian lifestyle, inspiring those who come through our farm to think about how we can all work together to live more harmoniously with nature. We grow most of our own food on our 1.6 hectare hillside farm, blending the practices of agroecology, permaculture, biodynamics, and biointensive farming, but we also understand the importance of the arts, of language exchange, and of grounded spirituality. To this end, we host formal and not-so-formal gatherings to ensure that our lives are well balanced.
YūtopiaLab is located 35 minutes from Cali on the way to the Pacific Ocean. The hub of the farm is a house constructed of natural materials with 5 rooms, each room with its own bathroom, a big kitchen/dining/living room, library and yoga room.
Some roles and activities:
Some house work including general cleaning and cooking tasks will be expected, and occasionally there are ongoing construction projects, but the majority of the work will be farm work: vegetable bed maintenance, planting, weeding, pruning, building compost, animal chores, harvesting and processing what we harvest.
