William Blake House provides residential care to adults with learning disabilities and challenging needs. They have three homes, all located in a pleasant village environment close to Towcester, Northamptonshire. A team of carers support each house directly with management support available at all times. The purpose of this project is to provide people with learning disabilities who require a high level of support and care with a permanent home and a personalised package of support, supervision and holistic care. Their services are person centred; and so the residents are encouraged to live their life and take part in activities such as gardening, singing, supported work placements, walks in the local area, shopping, arts and crafts and visits to the local spa for swimming. The purpose of the programme is to offer residents stimulating activity and work experience opportunities, promoting personal growth and independence.
